At Star Poultry, we have been perfecting and modifying our process over the last fifty years.

Our process is humane, utilising the latest in state-of-the-art poultry processing equipment to ensure the entire process is seamless and produces the highest quality end product.

The birds meet Primesafe’s mandated standard chill time of 12 hours in just 90 minutes.

We have invested heavily to ensure the highest quality product is not only produced but maintains its freshness for our customers for as long as possible. Unique to us and at the completion of majority of the process, our birds undergo a 3-step chilling process. This ensures the birds meet Primesafe’s mandated standard chill time of 12 hours in just 90 minutes. Yes, 90 minutes. Our air-dried chilling process rapidly cools and dries our birds, inhibiting bacteria growth and maximising shelf life.

While we process for the traditional Australian market (butchers, wholesalers and restaurants), we also cater for small batch farms on a contract process basis. We also provide a hand slaughtered Halal process, as well as traditional Kosher hand slaughter.
